James was born in Mississippi, but was raised in Augusta, Georgia USA and has resided in Australia since 1982.   He comes from a musical background in America where his father was a singer/entertainer on the South Coast of America and toured Europe with his band STEPS OF RHYTHM.

His father was also involved with a duet named SAM & BILL who released records in the early 1960's.   The musical blood runs in the Levi Family as James is related to Aretha Franklin. 

James served in the US Military for 7½ years as a Sergeant upon completing High School in Hawaii.  Excelling in music and also playing 2nd Cornet and French Horn in numerous marching bands and concerts.

Even while in the Army he was designated company buglar during Kangaroo '80 and Pack Bond '80 military exercise.  (US and Australian soldiers ran side by side to raise money for the building of the Royal Brisbane Children's Hospital).

James is a seasoned frontman who performs with natural charisma and soulful credibility.   He is a versatile and vibrant entertainer.   James really enjoys and loves what he does and it shows with a great audience response and involvement.

Vangogh's Earlobe - Metropolis Nightclub, Sheraton Hotel, Treasury Casino, Jupiters Casino
